Because peripheral nerve care is fragmented across Orthopaedic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physiatrist, among many other specialties, it can be difficult for patients to find care. A major focus of the GNF is helping patients to find nerve-specialists or doctors who treat peripheral nerve injuries or problems. Shortening time to care improves clinical outcomes for patients and quality of life.
